Every athlete is capable of more than they're told.
Individualized mechanics work, athlete-first programming, and recruiting guidance built around finding each player's best fit.
Two ways to work with EPD
Two distinct offerings, kept separate on purpose, built around what each family needs.
Pitching Development
- 1-on-1 and small-group in-person instruction
- Remote coaching: written programming, video breakdown, weekly Zoom
- Mechanics work informed by the founder's D1 playing experience
College Advising
- Independent advising for prep and college recruiting
- Target school strategy and outreach guidance
- Built on the founder's own recruiting experience
Development that's built around the arm, not a template
Mechanics & Development
Mechanics work built around the individual arm, not generic drills.
Athlete-First Programming
Every plan fits the pitcher's arm, delivery, and timeline.
Recruiting Insight
Practical knowledge of the college recruiting process, from someone who has been through it as a player.
Individualized instruction, in person or remote.
Mechanics work and programming built around the athlete's arm and timeline. Choose the format that fits, or ask us.
Pick the way the athlete trains
Both formats run on the same coaching standard, in person or through a structured remote plan.
In-Person Training
- 1-on-1 and small-group (2–3 athlete) sessions
- Live feedback and adjustments during sessions
- Multi-session training blocks for in-season or off-season work
Remote Coaching
- Written programming: drill work, throwing volume, weekly notes
- Up to one live Zoom call per week
- Ongoing video breakdown plus text & email access
Hands-on reps, real-time correction.
Reps are observed and adjusted live, so feedback comes while the athlete is still in the movement.
Live feedback, built around the individual
In-person sessions offer the most immediate feedback in the program, with adjustments made live during the session.
- 1-on-1 LessonsSingle-session, full-hour instruction focused on the athlete's specific mechanical priorities.
- Small Group TrainingGroups of 2–3 athletes, same coaching attention, built for training partners and travel teammates.
- Session BundlesMulti-session packages for athletes committing to an in-season or off-season development block.
Real programming, no calendar limit.
For athletes outside driving range, or families who want ongoing accountability. Same standards as in-person.
A structured plan, reviewed every week
Remote coaching is an ongoing relationship: regular film review and direct communication, wherever the athlete trains.
- Initial AssessmentA full intake and video breakdown to establish baseline mechanics and priorities.
- Written ProgrammingA structured plan covering drill work, throwing volume, and week-to-week notes.
- Weekly Zoom CallUp to one live video call per week to review progress and adjust the plan.
- Video BreakdownRegular film review so mechanical changes are tracked, not guessed at.
- Ongoing CommunicationDirect text and email access for questions between sessions.
Guidance built on real recruiting experience.
Independent advising for prep and high school pitchers targeting college programs, built on the founder's own recruiting path.
Guidance from someone who's lived the process
A separate service from pitching development. This is about the college outcome, built for families evaluating fit, target schools, and how to stand out to coaches.
What families get
Every engagement starts with a clear-eyed read on where the athlete stands, then builds a plan to reach the right-fit programs.
- Strategy SessionsDirect calls to review the athlete's recruiting situation and set a target school list.
- Outreach & DifferentiationHow to make recruiting emails and posts on X clear and professional so coaches can easily understand who the athlete is.
- Material GuidanceSupport building recruiting emails and highlight video that present the athlete clearly.
- Social VisibilityGuidance on building a clear, professional recruiting profile on social media.
- Direct Coach CommunicationFor families who want it, outreach to coaches on the athlete's behalf.
This is a consulting product, not a training product
Recruiting consulting runs independently from pitching development. Pair it with training, or use it on its own.
EPD is an independent advising service. We do not guarantee scholarships, offers, roster spots, admission, or any recruiting outcome, and we are not affiliated with any school, athletic program, or governing body. See our Terms & Conditions.
About the Coach
Canes Baseball, National Select
"With the right development and hard work, every athlete is capable of more than they're told."
Egan Pitching Development was built on a simple idea: amateur pitchers deserve individualized instruction, thoughtful mechanics work, and honest recruiting guidance.
Ryan Egan was a Second Team All-New England pitcher at The Taft School in 2022 before playing Division 1 baseball at Fordham University in the Atlantic 10 Conference. At Fordham, he led the Rams in ERA in 2023 and posted a 2.66 ERA in 2025. He also played in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Cotuit Kettleers.
On the coaching side, he's worked as a private pitching instructor and coached travel teams, including with The Clubhouse and Canes Baseball's National Select program. Having been through the recruiting process himself informs every plan EPD builds.
EPD runs two distinct lines because mechanics and college strategy are different problems. Both get the same standard: individualized and athlete-first.
Let's build the plan.

Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of eganpitchingdev.com (the "Site") and your inquiries about, and purchase of, services from Egan Pitching Development, LLC ("EPD," "we," "us"). By using the Site or submitting the contact form, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Our services
EPD offers two separate service lines:
- Pitching development, including in-person lessons and small-group sessions, and remote coaching (written programming, video breakdown, up to one live video call per week, and text and email communication).
- College advising, an independent recruiting consulting service for prep and college recruiting, offered separately from pitching development.
Descriptions on the Site are summaries. The specific scope, schedule, and price of any service are confirmed with you before it begins, and an email exchange counts as written confirmation. The Site does not process payments or create a booking by itself; submitting the contact form is an inquiry, not a purchase.
2. Who may book
You must be 18 or older to enter into an agreement with us. Athletes under 18 may train or receive advising only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for booking, payment, and the athlete's participation.
3. Scheduling, cancellation, and refunds
- You may reschedule a session with at least 24 hours' notice, by email or text.
- Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, and no-shows, are forfeited.
- Once services have begun, paid packages, remote coaching plans, and advising packages are non-refundable, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- If we need to cancel or reschedule a session, we will give you as much notice as we can and offer a make-up session.
4. No guarantees
Athletic development and recruiting depend on many factors outside our control, including the athlete's effort, health, genetics, competition, and the decisions of coaches and schools. EPD does not guarantee any specific result, including velocity or performance improvement, playing time, roster spots, scholarships or financial aid, offers, admission, draft selection, or professional opportunities. Any past results or descriptions of the founder's background are not a promise of future outcomes.
5. Health, safety, and assumption of risk
Pitching and athletic training involve inherent risks, including the risk of injury. EPD provides baseball instruction and coaching only. We are not medical professionals and do not provide medical, physical therapy, or athletic training advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Athletes should be cleared for physical activity by a physician where appropriate, should tell us about any pain or injury, and should stop any activity that causes pain. By participating, you acknowledge these risks. We may ask you to sign a separate participation agreement or waiver before in-person training.
6. Remote coaching and media
Remote coaching depends on the athlete's own equipment, internet connection, and ability to capture and send video. We are not responsible for technical failures outside our control. We will not publish, post, or share video, photos, or identifying information about an athlete without written permission from the athlete's parent or guardian (or the athlete, if 18 or older).
7. College advising limits
EPD's college advising is independent educational and strategic consulting. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any school, athletic program, conference, or governing body, and we cannot influence recruiting or admissions decisions. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. We do not act as an agent or representative of athletes in negotiating contracts, name, image, and likeness arrangements, or agreements with professional teams or agents. Where the service includes outreach to coaches on an athlete's behalf, we do so only with the athlete's and parent or guardian's approval of the content and recipients.
8. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, logos, graphics, photographs, programs, drills, and written programming, are owned by EPD or used with permission and are protected by law. Materials we provide to you are licensed for the athlete's personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or publish them without our written permission. School, league, and team names mentioned on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the founder's background; they do not indicate sponsorship or endorsement.
9. Acceptable use of the Site
You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, scraping it, submitting false or misleading information, or sending spam or unlawful content through the contact form.
10. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party websites and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
11. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EPD and its owners, coaches, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, related to the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or our services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the services giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or limits any rights a minor or parent may have that cannot be waived by law.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle information.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms, the Site, or our services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Changes do not alter the terms of services you have already purchased unless you agree.
16. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. These Terms, together with any written confirmation or agreement for specific services, are the entire agreement between you and EPD about the Site and those services.
